Project presented to the Announcement of Competition of the Slovenian Research Agency

Project promoter: Institute for Ethnic Studies (INV)
Partners: Slori-Slovenski raziskovalni inštitut (Zaira Vidau, Devan Jagodic), Slovenian Scientific Institute (SZI) of Klagenfurt, Institute Urban Jarnik of Klagenfurt
Project implementation period: 2013-2016

This three-year project reflects the scientific findings according to which young people are a crucial question in the current historical period for all four border areas populated by Slovenians (in Austria, Italy, Croatia and Hungary). The research will be based on selected methodological approaches (quantitative and qualitative research) while in its empirical part, following the results of already performed researches, a research model specifically elaborated for the purpose will be used. Special attention will be dedicated to the structuring of the sample of young people, as this is crucial for preparing a successful research and methodology instrument. This kind of sample will allow comparability between different border areas, which is one of the fundamental aspects of the project proposed.
