The three-year cross-border project is dedicated to promoting intercultural values as the basics for establishing and developing relations in a multiethnic and multilingual society. The objective is to create knowledge and instruments (didactic and informative material, manuals, publications, games etc.) for educating to diversity and interculturalism in the school and university environment and transmit these to the students and teaching staff. For this purpose, networks of cross-border cooperation are active between schools of all levels, research organisations, universities, public bodies and organisations working in the field of intercultural education, as also between organisations existing within the traditional and the newly born ethnic minorities. These carry out educational, informative, promotional and research activities. Particular attention is dedicated to the affirmation of intercultural education considering both traditional minorities (particularly the Italian one in Slovenia and the Slovenian and Friulian one in Italy) and new minorities, i.e. migrant groups.
Area of project implementation: Provinces of Trieste, Gorizia, Udine, Venice, Ravenna and the Slovenian Statistical Regions Obalno-kraška, Osrednjeslovenska and Goriška.
