Citizens’ satisfaction level about the protection and valorization of the language communities in the Friuli Venezia Giulia

Within the project the Slovene Research Institute Slori is carrying out a survey among the population of the municipalities, where Slovene speaking citizens live. The research will allow:
a) to monitor the level of knowledge, the perception and the satisfaction level of the citizens as far as the protection and the valorization of linguistic identities are concerned, especially of the Slovene community, according to laws 482/1999 and 38/2001 and the respective regional regulations;
b) to provide a feedback about the effectiveness of the information and communication tools, adopted by the region Friuli Venezia Giulia for a better knowledge of the national and regional regulations in the field of the protection of the linguistic communities;
c) to improve and develop information and awareness methods at disposal of the citizens belonging to linguistic communities.

The research within the Slovene linguistic community is being carried out by phone surveys based on a structured questionnaire. 750 persons will be asked. The sample will be chosen randomly from the telephone directory.
