The book offers a description of Val Canale in all its features: the specific geographic location, history, population and ethnic structure. It is divided into two parts: the first one describes Val Canale from a naturalistic and geographical viewpoint in a simple yet accurate manner; the second one is dedicated to the debates regarding Val Canale and its inhabitants which were published in Slovenian press from the 1960 on. The book is informative and not scientific.
