The bilingual publication contains a detailed presentation of the Slovene national community in Italy and of the Italian national community in Slovenia and Croatia. The introduction briefly describes the main features of the border area between Italy, Slovenia and Croatia along with some basic notions about the meaning of the historical and/or native minorities in Europe. The central part of the publication displays the results about both the minority communities, about their institutions and organisations and gives some information about the activities, which can be interesting and accessible also to the single citizens, who do not know the minority language. The publication was first dedicated to the pupils and students of the Italian and Slovene majority schools on both the sides of the border, but the informational material is in general dedicated to anyone, who would like to know better both the minority communities.
