The first fascicle of the publication Pre-misliti manjšino (Re-think the minority) is a collection of scientific papers, which include the views of the most representative actors of various political, economic, cultural and other social groups, which make up the organisational structure of the Slovene ethnical community in Italy. The research study brings sound starting points for the analysis of the inner problems of the minority and of the priorities for development, and especially of their perspectives, offered by the entrance of Slovenia in the European Union and in the Schengen area and connected to the opportunities for further development both of the Slovene community in Italy and of the common Slovene cultural space.
