The author writes about the community land in the Littoral area, especially in the Trieste and Gorizia Karstic region in the 18th, 19th and 20th century. Traces of this form of property could be found overall in Europe; the specificity of this territory is the result of the measures undertaken by in its various State forms. Beside the question of property, its management and its social-economic valorization is here important also the national-political dimension.
