Project implementation period: 2017–2018

The two umbrella organisations representing Slovenes living in Italy – the Slovenian Cultural and Economic Union (SKGZ) and the Confederation of Slovene Organisations (SSO) – commissioned SLORI to prepare an informative brochure on the Slovenes living in Italy. The collected material is an updated and supplemented version of the material used some years ago for a similar publication, published as part of the EDUKA project. The brochure will be divided into the following sections: general information on the Slovene ethnic and linguistic minority in Italy, its historical presence, legislation aimed at protecting the Slovene minority, language policies, bilingualism in public places, education, the media, institutions and associations. The SLORI provided the contents in Slovene, Italian and English. This trilingual brochure is expected to be published by the end of 2018.
