The event was organised by the Union of Slovene Sports Associations in Italy (ZS\u0160DI) in cooperation with SLORI. The project involved all Slovene-language middle schools in the Friuli Venezia Giulia region. SLORI was entrusted with preparing the contents and providing the tools necessary for its successful execution. The activities were selected based on the assumption that individuals develop a communicative competence in a given language by being exposed to different registers and using them spontaneously in everyday situations. Speakers who are insufficiently or inappropriately exposed to a given language do not develop all the necessary language skills despite having a formal education in that language.
