Project promoter<\/strong>: SLORI In the framework of the project Minoranze animate \/ Animirane manj\u0161ine\n(Animated Minorities), financed by a grant from the Autonomous Region of Friuli\nVenezia Giulia on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the adoption of Act\nNo. 482\/1999 on the Protection of Linguistic Minorities in Italy, SLORI created\nfour short animated films aimed at disseminating information about national\nminorities in Europe and in the region of Friuli Venezia Giulia (FVG), with a\nparticular focus on Slovenes in Italy. Besides SLORI, two other officially recognised\nlinguistic communities in FVG were also involved in the project: the Friulian\nPhilological Society \/ Societ\u00e2t Filologjiche Furlane \u201cGraziadio Isaia Ascoli\u201d\nfor the Friulian Community and the Cultural club of Sauris \/ Zahrar\nKulturzirkul \u201cFulgenzio Schneider\u201d for the German linguistic community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The project produced four animated films useful as didactic tools in schools and universities and, more generally, as information and promotional material for the general public.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The animations are short (with a duration of between 3 and 4 minutes) and convey their concise content in a modern, simple, relaxed and playful way. <\/p>\n\n\n\n The first animation deals with the main concepts and starting points, gives examples of national minorities in Europe and Italy, and summarises the main rights of minorities. The second video presents the social, cultural and linguistic characteristics of the three communities living in the FVG region, namely the Friulian, German and Slovene communities, as well as their respective protection legislation at the state and provincial levels. With the aim of addressing different target audiences, both animations are available in no less than five languages, namely Slovene, Friulian, German, Italian and English. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
